Every year is the same...we begin the New Year with lots of new resolutions such as going on a diet, starting running, finding a new job, finding a boyfriend/girlfriend...We are always planning ahead, thinking in the future...and we sometimes forget about living in the present.
Currently, I believe that people are more anxious about the future and holidays are just an example of this reality. Most of the time, we go on holiday to a nice place and, even while we are there, we start talking about the next place we would like to visit. If you start to pay attention to your own thoughts you might realise that this also happens to you.
The first time I realised this was last year. I spent over a year planning my holidays in the USA with my friends and during that time, I had something to look forward to. With the holidays over, my life changed completely, going back to "normal" and all my plans seemed to have gone.
Now I am living in another country, working full-time and with no planned holidays for the next few months. As a result, it is important to enjoy the present and not to think too much about the future. Of course, I know that there are responsibilities that require planning ahead but at the moment, my only plan for the future will be to avoid planning absolutely everything. My plans will be to live in the present.

Dating for everyone
It is really hard to keep a nice relantionship working well these days. Sometimes people stat dating someone and in a couple of days it's over. I started asking myself why people are so crazy when they are talking about it.
Nowadays it can seem really hard to find a person who wants to have a serious relationship. Many people prefer to have just one date and the next day see someone else (this means less hassle, especially if you don't want the complications that being in a relationship usually involves: giving him a call, sending her flowers...). You just spend one night together and is it.
In my opinion, it can be wonderful to have a girlfriend or a boyfriend. When you are in a relationship, it's great doing things together: going to the cinema, to a nice restaurant, the theatre and on holiday. I believe that you feel more confident and have more reasons to enjoy your life when you are in love. It is so sad to feel lonely.
Maybe this kind of attitude changes after 30. People start thing of having a family, getting married and having babies. Having a family makes it difficult to continue dating someone different all the time.
From my experience, I know that it's possible to be happy with someone special. It's really good to go home and stay with the person you love. Having a special dinner, buying a small gift, and giving him/her a surprise can keep your relantionship fresh.
Why don't you try it? Enjoy the experience and give yourself a chance to love.
